Grand Master YunXiu Yang practicing Tai Chi Fan
Grand Master YunXiu Yang

For several years I studied Tai Chi Sword and Fan with Grand Master YunXiu Yang in Norcross, GA. Master Yang is an 8th level duan master, out of 9 levels max. At a mere 74 years young, she was amazing to watch, her fluidity, grace and style are formidable. She taught the Wudang 49 form Tai Chi Sword competition form, the 42 form competition Sword form and Kung Fu Tai Chi Fan.

As of September 25, 2015, I was a certified instructor for Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for Rehabilitation class. This form features simple, gently moving forms that can be done standing, sitting or even lying down. It’s a beautiful combination of the Yang, Chen and Sun styles, modified to be a powerful healing routine without being too exhausting for those with limited abilities.

Fondly known as Master Chen, Master Yun Xiang Tseng was trained from the age of six at Wu Dang Mountain, made famous by the movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”.  Master Chen is a Taoist priest, Master of Qi Gong, Tai Chi and Kung Fu.  He has practiced the art of healing for over 30 years.  Master Chen’s mission as conceived by his master, Grandmaster Li, is to pass along the ancient Taoist wisdom to the west.  For more information about Master Chen and Wu Dang Mountain, please see Master Chen’s website.
I have studied with Master Chen for over 10 years, at his semi-annual training sessions in Atlanta. Master Chen travels between China and the US, with his home base in Colorado in Estes Park, where he is building the first Taoist Temple in the USA, to continue his tradition and training of more students. From Master Chen, I am certified to teach two forms of Qi Gong, Therapeutic Tai Chi, and Square Foot Tai Chi.
