World Tai Chi Day 2018

Tai Chi is always better with a hugAll across the globe at 10 AM local time, people gather to celebrate and practice Tai Chi & Qigong Day. The event’s motto is “One World… One Breath.” In recent years Tai Chi champion, David Dorian Ross (of PBS tai chi specials fame), and Bill Douglas, Founder of World Tai Chi & Qigong Day (author of a best-selling tai chi book, “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to T’ai Chi & Qigong,” ) have teamed up to livestream this global phenomenon as it unfolds across the planet… dubbing this livestream project as “24 Hours of World Peace.”

Locally, Jan Stittleburg, Tai Chi instructor, will be hosting the event at Mountain Park Park, 5050 Five Forks-Trickum Road, Lilburn 30047, at 10AM on Saturday April 28th. This will be the third year for this event in Lilburn. Last year about 20 people came to practice Tai Chi, lead by Jan and Diana Dice, another local Tai Chi instructor. This year we are inviting all Tai Chi practitioners to come join us. Other teachers will have the opportunity to show and lead their style to the group as well. There is no cost to join us, just wear something comfortable and weather appropriate, and bring water to drink. We will be meeting on the Pounds Road side of the tennis courts, by the small child playground.
